What's Xopie?

Xopie is a service for online shops that lets you create a shop and sell your products without the need for technical expertise, hosting or your own domain. You just need to want to sell things!

Who can use it?

Anyone over 18 can create a Xopie online shop, what are you waiting for?

Do I need any technical knowledge?

No, you don't need any technical knowledge because Xopie is intuitive and easy to use. In addition, there are guides, a comprehensive support section and a team willing to help by answering all your questions very quickly via email or telephone (Premium plan). Don’t believe it? Give us a try :-)

Do I need to install anything on my computer?

No, no need to install anything on your computer.

What requirements do I need on my computer?

You only need a web browser, whichever one you like. If you use Internet Explorer it must be version 7 or above.

Once I have signed up, when can I start selling my products?

When you have signed up, you will immediately receive an email with all the data from your shop and access to the administration. From the administration of your shop, you will be able to enter products and configure pre-configured forms of payment and delivery to make the whole process as easy as possible. So you can start selling products as fast as you want, it's up to you.

How much is a Xopie online shop?

Xopie offers free options as well as advanced payment options. For more information, please visit our price plans.

Does Xopie keep part of the proceeds from my sales?

No, Xopie does not keep any money from our clients’ sales. We want our customers to earn as much money as possible so that they stay with us for as long as possible.

Where is my shop created?

Your online shop is created and hosted on our server. Security copies are done periodically.

Payments

What forms of payment are available to my customers?

Xopie offers preconfigured forms of payment (bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, Moneybookers, DineroMail ...). If you want customers to pay by credit card via POS Terminal, you should talk to your bank first to apply for it.

How long does it take to receive the customer's payment?

This depends on the system and the bank, but if it's an online payment you get the money straight away.

Is Xopie liable for any unpaid purchases made by the customers of my shop?

No, Xopie is not responsible. Xopie is not involved in any way in completing sales transactions between sellers and buyers of products or services and, therefore, is not responsible for any fraud or defaults that may occur in our customers' shops.

Deliveries

How do I send my orders?

If you only have a few items to send, perhaps you would prefer to handle it yourself, but if not you can contact the various courier companies in your country to choose the shipping conditions that most interest you.

Shop

I already have a domain, can I use it for my store?

Yes, in all shop plans, except in the Free plan, you are entitled to register or transfer your domain. If you prefer your domain at your current registrar, you only need to change your domain's DNS so that they point to our server, please contact us to do this.

To transfer a domain is free the first year! If you contract an annual payment plan, you are entitled to register your domain free!

The purchase or renewal price of a domain is 24.99€ + VAT (domains: .com, .es, .com.es, .net, .org, .info, .biz and .us).

What languages and currencies can I use?

Xopie currently has up to 9 languages for your shops. Depending on the payment plan you contract you will have more or less languages. Currently we offer: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan, Euskera and Galician.

The currencies available are the Euro (€), Pound Sterling GBP (£), US dollar USD (U.S. $) and all the currencies of the countries in South America. Please let us know if your currency is not among those mentioned above, Xopie can add it to the list, just let us know!

Yes, the shop can be changed to a catalogue once you’ve signed up. You can make this change whenever and as often as you please because the change is automatically reversible. The catalogue mode means that the shopping basket and purchasing options are not shown.

Are shops connected with social networks?

Yes, with Xopie you can connect your shop to your Facebook or Twitter accounts. In this way the shop will automatically publish in your social networks about new products, offers, news and much more! Easily keep in touch with your friends and followers.

Which sections does the shop include?

By default, your shop offers the About section, where you can give details about yourself, the Catalogue section, where you can access all products by category, the Payment and Delivery section where you can specify and let your customers know about your conditions, the Contact section where you can include your contact details and finally, you can change your contents yourself and create more pages if you like.

Can I have more than one online shop?

Yes, you can have more than one shop. However, you should bear in mind that you cannot have more than one shop within the same user account; therefore, you must register with a different user for each new shop that you open.

Products

Is there a limit to the number of products?

Yes, each plan has a limit of specific products, to find out please visit our price plans.

Can I categorize the products?

Yes, you can create as many categories as you want for your products.

Can I add variations such as colour, size, etc?

Yes, you can create the variations necessary for each of your products.

Can I apply my country's taxes to the price?

Yes, whatever country you are from we give you the option of applying the appropriate tax.

Can I apply volume and weight to my products to define different delivery costs?

Yes, you can set the weight and volume for each of your products and set different delivery costs according to rules you define.

Design

Do I need a designer for my shop?

You don't need a designer for your shop, you can choose from lots of designs, and you can change the colours and styles once you are in the administration. Xopie also offers design services for banners and logos.

Can I customise the styles of the predefined design templates?

Yes, you can change the colours and styles of your design to your taste.

Can I use my logo?

Yes, once you register and have access to the administration of your shop in the configuration section you can add your own logo.

Customers

Can I get an invoice for my fee using this service?

Yes, from the administrator of your online shop you can complete the data necessary for the issuance of an invoice and then download it there in pdf format.

How do you communicate with customers?

Our usual way of communicating is via email, as it is very fast and effective. Some plans get the telephone support included, but if you wish you can contract the telephone service at any time.

What forms of support do you provide?

We give support via email or chat. From the administration, you can access a complete set of questions and answers or a contact form where we will be happy to answer in less than 24h.

Currently, Premium plans have telephone support and we also offer a subscription telephone support service.
